[With their twin orders put in, Maelle listens to Scott with a pleasant smile. It grows when he says they could do this again--it sounds like a good idea to her.]

[A little thicker than this drink, but Maelle doesn't mind it as she takes a sip. She's fond of sweet things, and this both a little easier to drink and a lot more than she'd usually get. Good luck to you later, Gustave.]
I know you've heard only the depressing parts, but we had some nice things.
[There's a small sip of his own drink as she takes hers, but Scott almost strangely stays quiet for a second as he listens to her. Maybe hard to notice given the cup that's lifted to his mouth, but there's something just a little more subdued about him as he gets his question out.]

The city itself was nice. I was a runner for the warehouses, so I was always going here and there... and there was this beautiful garden on top of some of the rooftops. Me and Gustave would meet there for lunch or after the day was done, before we went home to Emma.
[Man, she had to run materials for the warehouses? Sounds like a lot of work... but guess he shouldn't be surprised, if there's no one older than 33 years old in her world. And everything is kind of shit. Then she went on an expedition to stop all that but it didn't really work out??
