I'm not exactly the Maelle he remembers. But I think even if there was some older, very different me, he'd still value me as a person. It's not like there's only one spot in the world for me or you. Especially here.

i imagine they'd also be happy about that, you know? to have the person that they share actual memories with. that knows them back.
[A part of him thinks about declining, just wanting to sulk in his room for a bit longer. But also seeing Maelle again, right now after everything, is definitely a nice thought. Someone that he can just joke and hang out with and stuff. She's met the older him, but at least it's not the same hurt feeling as with the other mutants.
