but if the world's unstable after everything with the demons and angels, you still have a chance to rally people to your side, right? like show them that you really are helping out. just start off with the public.
The thing is... I don't really want to rally anyone to my side. I don't want to really be considered a threat at all, you know? I'd rather just live as much of a normal life as possible back home, and that includes the government being normal and not trying to kill me despite it being impossible.
well, the point of rallying people to your side is to hopefully get the government to see that you aren't a threat, because you'll make it obvious that you're only trying to help.
i mean you could try hiding, but the moment you surface, they might throw whatever they got at you.
then you condemn that person who does something stupid. i know you mentioned about not getting involved with humans after this, but maybe you still have to. help out those that still need it.
you shouldn't have to hide. or turn yourself in. especially if you haven't done anything wrong, kazuya. that's not right. or fair.
It's a pretty complex situation. And as much as I'd like to say you're right, things never work out that smoothly when it comes to reality, you know?
I'll be alright, no matter what happens or what I decide to do. I think right now the smarter thing will be to turn myself in. I have some friends in the SDF, they might be able to pull some strings to make things less terrible.
If you look at it like that, then I suppose I also could have saved everyone by becoming God's Messiah too. Or if somehow I had found a way to send all the demons back without becoming Overlord.
I don't know if the latter was even possible, but it was also another avenue we could have maybe looked into if we had more time.
Either way, you can't just say that I've "saved" people. Maybe I made a lot of peoples lives worse, doing what I did.
Not everything works out like it does in movies, unfortunately. Not everyone gets a happy ending. I'm touched that you're upset on my behalf though. It does mean a lot to me, to hear you say that.
