okay you steal them from the other reality and put them in your back pocket? and then the person that was connected with the distorted desire suddenly becomes good? realize that they've been a huge asshole and repent for the rest of their life.
that depends. treasures usually take on the appearance of something significant to the person with the distorted desires. the object can be different in the cognitive world vs the real world, too.
once we stole a crown, which turned into an olympic gold medal in the real world. we sold it for 30000 yen

okay i don't think i really understand everything, but i think i got the most important bits. the phantom thieves of heart fight shadows and distorted desires to help people. what happens if those distorted desires remain too long? the metaverse becomes unstable? or just the person in reality just continues to do horrible shit?
