[She musters up a proper scream and scrambles to her feet, backing away from the bed with an expression of disgusted terror and channels her inner Yukari.]
[He may not fully realize that she's playing along, but Scott finds himself bursting into laughter anyway, watching her scramble to her feet and swat the imaginary bug. Guess even she's not immune to the thought of a gross ass bug crawling around her body.
Not that many people would. Him included.
After a moment, Scott decides to help calm her down, because she's definitely a little freaked out, right? Right.]
I-I think you got it. [He's still giggling-- laughing a little. Totally chortling.] Unless you want me to double check.
[Right, totally. She's about to dive into his arms to protect her from the big scary bug.]
Check! Check! [She keeps patting at her arms as if it might somehow still be on her, though she's having trouble keeping her expression worried and not mischievous.] My team used to have to fight these giant armored beetles, make sure it's not a tiny one of those!
[He manages to get his laughter under control as he pretends to check her arms and back for any mischievous bug, but Scott doesn't try very long for obvious reasons. Also what does she mean by giant armored beetles.....]
Pretty sure you frightened it off.
[Scott hasn't let go of Kotone or pulled away from her, just sort of looking down at his friend with a slight smile.] Feelin' okay now?
[Don't worry about them or the fact that she had to collect their parts to give Theo for a quest-
The sparkle of delight is obvious in her eyes as he looks down at her, and she isn't sure if she can keep that frightened expression much longer, so she hides it by wrapping her arms around him for an impromptu hug now that they're so close. She has to lean up just a bit to rest her chin on his shoulder so he can't see her break into a silly grin, but really, it's as much relief as it is mischief. It's like everything is just normal like this.]
[Oh, has this become serious?? It feels like the mood has changed once more, or maybe he's just reading into things. But his momentary confusion doesn't last long, as he wraps his arms around her, returning the hug in a comforting embrace. What's he going to do, stand there like an idiot while a cute girl is hugging him? No!!]
Course, I'm your official bug-catching guy now.
[He says off handedly, a part of him wanting to express more than just that, but Scott clamps down on it. They're just being normal and hugging as friends in this fucking crazy world, that's all.]
[She laughs softly, eyes crinkling a little with the force of her smile as she squeezes him a little tighter.]
I'll remember you said that when I see a spider in a corner of the barn in the middle of the night.
[And maybe she lets herself stay there in his arms a little longer than is strictly proper, because even if things are patched up with Scott, there's still the lingering dread in the bottom of her heart that the others won't forgive her nearly so easily. Still, it's easier to ignore like this as she finally forces herself to draw back and clasp her hands behind her back.]
I should probably get going before I fall asleep again. You'll take care of Bunny Scott for me, right?
[He keeps a smile about him as she pulls away, only taking a glance back at Bunny Scott (who is definitely not judging him what are you talking about), before returning his attention to her and giving a slight nod. There's absolutely no way that he's brave enough to say that she can just stay over and stuff.]
He's safe with me. Scotts have to look after each other, especially if they're wearing red sunglasses.
[Maybe also he can sort out all his feelings about Kotone, especially the new ones he may be getting--] Uh, see you later, yeah?
[Surely Bunny Scott wouldn't judge a fellow Scott with glasses! She laughs at his assessment and just nods.]
Absolutely. Any time you wanna hang out, just let me know, okay?
[She can really use the company, after all. It's been a good reminder that as easy as it is to try to stay isolated, it's so much better to make sure she spends time with her friends. She'll have to make sure to keep it up.]

>Play along]
Eeeew!!
[She musters up a proper scream and scrambles to her feet, backing away from the bed with an expression of disgusted terror and channels her inner Yukari.]
Get it, get it! Eeeew!!

[And with a wave, she's out the door.]
