He finds himself relaxing somewhat hearing about this. None of his friends are gone. Scott figured that 'small' Mikey was part of the Dark Hour incident, so it makes sense that he disappeared along with it.]

[He remembers Mikey being kind of protective over his other self. 'The original.' Scott honestly thought he'd be glad that his double is gone, because he's pretty sure he'd feel that way, but.]

(when scott arrives, manjiro's asleep. there are blond roots peeking out the top of his head, and he fell asleep while writing 'no need' as a response to the last text. the snores are high-pitched under the thousands of blankets, and he's wrapped completely.)
[He's almost tempted to just leave, because Mikey is clearly getting the sleep that he needs and Scott doesn't want to interrupt that. But he's already made the trek here and who knows how resistant his friend will be after this? It will probably be a pain in the ass. Besides, he doesn't have to immediately wake him up, he'll give him some time.
So, Scott plops himself next to Mikey, taking care not to bump him, and... okay, maybe this is just a little weird. He's sitting next to someone that's asleep and not doing anything about it. Maybe he'll use his tablet for a while?? That will surely be less awkward and strange.]
(he's not often a lightsleeper, one can literally carry him and it would not wake him, but he's been on edge enough that scott's weight on the mattress is enough to wake him. he only sits halfway, his own body supported by his forearm, before he falls on the other's lap to rest his head on.)
[Really didn't take much to wake Mikey up today, huh? He knows that the biker is a pretty heavy sleeper otherwise, so all this with his doppelganger really must've kept him up. It's worrying. He knows how Mikey can be, hiding away how he feels. Always wanting to appear strong for others. So there's no complaint when his friend's head suddenly plops itself on his lap, the mutant only resting a hand on his hair as he looks down at him.

(to him, to be this spoiled tends to be very natural. he can't think of any other way of asking for affection, and that means one of his arms wraps around scott as he eyes close to feel the warmth on his head. it always feels nice, and hopefully, scott does not point out the fact his hair is dual-colored, with how damn long these roots are.)

[He keeps his hand rested on top of Mikey's head, stroking through the strands there and idly noting the differences in red for him. It's hard for him to discern colors still, even though he should be used to this, but it's still enough of a difference to let Scott know that Mikey probably needs to dye his hair again soon.

You did worry me. [Scott admits, sunglasses boring down at Mikey.] It was frustrating that you didn't listen to me.
[He's glad nothing bad happened to Mikey, but it could've gone bad.]
he knows that, sometimes, dealing with him is a nightmare, especially when he puts something in his mind - he's ridiculously stubborn, and when his soul tells him it's true, it doesn't matter that the evidence tells him otherwise.)
I just wanted to be the one who has all the consequences of my actions for once, I guess.
[Scott half-grumbles, letting some of that mild frustration show because while Mikey's whole independent leader thing can be admirable at times, he also wants to kick his ass for these sort of things. He probably should, honestly, especially since he still owes him that after he pushed away him and Yu all those months ago.
