🦋 IC Information

Character Name: Scott Summers
Age: 25
Canon: X-Men Cinematic Universe
Canon Point: Post Dark Phoenix
Character History: Wiki entry!
Canon Abilities: Scott can fire powerful optic blasts from his eyes, strong enough to tear a large tree in half and break through metal walls. They actually don't generate heat and are more of a 'concussive force,' but sometimes you see heat in the movies because they either want to make it flashy or there's just a lot of friction being made. idk superhero powers are weird.

Unfortunately, Scott can't control them and they are continuously shooting out of his eyes. He needs his visor in order to control them or his sunglasses to block them.

This is slightly more in headcanon territory, but he's also been trained since he was 16 years old to be a X-Man by Raven Darkholme, so he probably knows a decent amount of martial arts or close combat skills to keep himself alive. He also probably knows how to pilot an aircraft, since the use of the Blackbird is common in X-Men media.

Inventory: Ruby quartz sunglasses

🦋 Personality

Option 1: Answer the following questions. Elaborate on the answer, especially your characters thoughts and feelings surrounding the answer. For Canon Characters, you can choose four questions. For Original Characters, you will need to choose six questions. Keep the word count to 150-400 per question.

  1. Has your character always believed in magic? Do they have something influencing their perspective on the supernatural/metaphysical/spiritual from their past? How do they feel about magic?

  2. No, Scott has not always believed in magic, mostly because he comes from a universe where magic doesn't exist. In fact, the only time people actually have 'abilities' in his world is if you're born with them-- a mutant, essentially. Or awakening the X-Gene. And it's a clear line that separates humans and mutants in his world. However, with that all being said, if he actually encounters magic in another universe-- in Pixie Led, he'd come to accept the presence of magic. Scott isn't the type to deny or refuse what's in front of him, as he adapts to situations. He probably won't be overly curious about magic, but he'd more than willing to accept help from people that use magic and would incorporate them into any plans he'd have. Use what you got in front of you to have the best outcome!

He'd still have that line in his head though-- like he wouldn't consider them mutants or consider himself as one of them, just because his status as a mutant is extremely important to him. Of course, he'd still be friendly to them as long as they remain the same.

  3. If you'd like pixies to change one event in your character's life, what would it be and why?

  4. It's an extremely hard choice between Alex and Jean, but I'll be going with Alex, because I feel like Scott would describe multiple things he would've done differently to save Jean. Back when Scott was still young, when he just got his powers at 16 years old, he was still a rebellious little teen that played hooky and invited the other mutants to go to the mall with him. While Scott doesn't necessarily regret that portion, especially since he grew very close with Jean and Kurt, him being absent from the mansion resulted in missing the events that led up to the death of his brother and even more than that, possibly saving him.

Alex is his older brother by about 20 years and the family member he was closest to, even if he wouldn't admit it back then. Someone that he looked up to, thought the world of, with one line being said to Jean that it 'should've have been him' that died. He regrets not being there, not spending more time with him, taking Alex for granted, not to mention that Scott probably often wondered if things would've been different if he was back at the mansion like he should've been. While Scott ended up growing up to be a X-Man like Alex, he probably often felt and wondered what it would be like to have Alex by his side during all that.

  5. What is your character's most outstanding personality trait, and why?

  6. Dedication. Whether it's to the mutant cause, to Jean, to the X-Men, Scott will put all of his energy and effort into something that he really cares about. While this can also be a detriment to him physically or emotionally, Scott is truly the type of person to fight to his very last breath for others. Or dedicate his life to. For Charles's vision, it's training probably almost every day since 16 to be a good X-Man with the others. Finding ways for them to work together well despite clashing personalities. Stepping into the role of leadership even if he felt nervous or anxious or not enough. Part of that dedication is sometimes shoving his own emotions back-- repressing just a bit so that he can focus on a mission. Some of that can even be seen when he was a teenager, shoving the grief of Alex's death to the back of his mind so that he can rescue the kidnapped mutants. For Jean, it's just always believing her and remaining by her side even through the worst of things. He never stopped wanting to help her even when she was being controlled by the Phoenix Force. Despite the way he can be very serious or focused, Scott is just someone that deeply cares about the things that matter to him.

  7. Your character gets to return home, but when they do they learn that they've been gone for hundreds of years. How do they react?

  8. Have a small minor breakdown. Okay, possibly a large one, since all of his friends would probably be dead and he doesn't really know Wolverine except for that one cameo. But after that, Scott would probably latch onto at least one goal that hopefully still exists and that's paving a way for the future of mutants. He'd do everything in his power to protect whatever mutants are out there, maybe even continue Xavier's School in his own way. Find possible allies, rebuild what he's lost, start the X-Men once more even if it would be hard and painful. Because the world needs the X-Men. Scott would probably be emotionally closed off, but he won't ever stop caring or trying to do what's right and that's caring about the future generations of mutants.

If somehow, the future is a mutant utopia with everyone getting along, he'd probably still keep vigilante and ready. He'd be extremely happy of course to see that this future has happened, but he also knows how things can go downhill as well. He's been through it himself. Hope for the best and prepare for the worst sort of mentality.
