Yes, exactly. It is possible that you were on the same line until some point after you were brought here meaning you have much in common and are essentially still the same person, but you do not have a fully shared past.

[And really, Loki hopes that is true for this Scott because then maybe he will not return home only to have to lose one of the most important people in his life. Loki is no stranger to loss and he would not wish it on the younger man. And he also remembers just how heartbroken the older Scott had been.

As much as Loki is curious to know this new Scott, he would have to admit that the man is correct in that learning about someone’s entire life in one sitting is a bit much. Besides, he would never want to intrude so thoroughly into his past. All he is really curious about is how similar the two are and he can get a lot of that information simply by speaking with him as he is now.
