[Scott's been sitting on his porch when he sees Marianne come into view, a small wave being returned that isn't quite enthusiastic, but at least acknowledging because he's not a complete asshole. He's still tired in a lot of ways and when he looks at his hands, he doesn't see any of the marks, but he's not going to drive her away now that she's here. That'd be really rude.
